I’m a Ph.D. Cognitive Neuroscientist (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 2017) with a fondness for problem solving.
Banducci Science Consulting, LLC: I consult on a range of science-related projects that include aspects of study design, statistical analyses, data management, literature review, grant writing, press releases, and client communications.
Technical research: My graduate research focused on understanding healthy aging using structural MRI, cognitive testing, physical mobility assessments, and virtual reality applications. I also investigated the role that physical activity and fitness, along with other lifestyle factors, play in the aging process. Check out the Scientific Publications page for more specifics on my research interests.
Communications: I write about other researchers' work when I have the chance-- formerly as an intern with the U. of I. news bureau and as a freelance writer. You can check out my press releases and some other writing samples under the Published Clips tab. I also do technical editing and proofreading.
Fun stuff: My spare time I advocate for science funding and open lines of communication between scientists and policy makers with the Triangle Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience's Science Policy Committee. When I can, I also try to shape young minds via some great mentoring opportunities in the Triangle region. I’m not all science all the time, though. I have an affinity for learning new languages, traveling, exploring nature, and gluten free baking.
